Lauren and James’ wedding in London was nothing short of unforgettable! As two Kiwis who’ve made London their home, they brought all the magic of this city into their day in the most beautiful and personal way. It was an absolute dream to photograph! We spent the day hopping on a classic red London bus, zipping around in black cabs, and getting lost in the streets of this city that means so much to them. They tied the knot in an intimate court ceremony at the iconic Hackney Hall, then partied the night away at their favourite bar and restaurant Jones & Son’s — it couldn’t have been more perfect.

Their style? — elegant, artistic, with just the right touch of personality that made it so them. Lauren wore a stunning Catherine Deane two-piece bridal set, topped off with a bow that was both playful and chic (a nod to her love for all things a little quirky but still timeless) and long Cult Gaia pearl earrings. And that pink rose bouquet paired with her Shrimps pearl bag? So stunning, so bold! Her bridesmaids, in classic black, added the perfect contrast to the day’s vibrant energy.

What really made the day special, though, was how it felt—so full of emotion, with laughter and happy tears from start to finish. We wandered through the city, capturing moments as they came, not worrying about perfection, just being fully present in all the excitement. By the time the evening rolled around, it felt like the perfect celebration of not just their love, but their whole London adventure together. I was so honoured to be a part of this day, and it’s one I’ll never forget.

If there’s one thing I took away from Lauren and James’ day that I think every couple can learn from, it’s to make your wedding yours. They embraced every bit of their personalities and their journey—whether it was riding a London bus, dancing in their favourite bar, or Lauren rocking that gorgeous two-piece with her pink rose bouquet. They didn’t worry about traditions or perfection; instead, they focused on what felt true to them, which made the day not only unforgettable but so authentic. So my advice? Don’t be afraid to infuse your day with your story—whether it’s the places you love, your unique style, or little touches that mean something to you. That’s what makes it all the more special.
